Children See, Children Do
Every move you make! An Australian children's rights organization produced this thought provoking public service announcement. The video contains very impacting images of children imitating their parents as they express aggressive behavior. It is easy to think that kids are not paying much attention but they are more than we believe. This also supports my thoughts on the previous post. When boys grow up in an environment where everyone is top free then they don't sexualize women's breasts.Hat tip: Saboma

Yeah, sure.
Specially if that enviornment is tv-free, magazines free, internet free and no contact with outside society (school, friends, theaters, streets, anything).
Then the boy will be educated as a girl. He`ll become gay or she-male.
Also that will "educate" a girl to become man hater and lesbian.
I think the video have another purpose : to show that parents behaviour influence kids behaviour. Which support what I say (boy among woman will beahve as a woman).

learning about the holocaust and the horrors of war is an experience we all go through as kids. I remember being sick about it, not being able to believe it, and the fear of it happening again. It made me look at the world completely differently.
When this sensitive, intelligent girl get's a little older, talk to her about how she feels about going from a free spirited person to a pubescent object of ogglement(I made that word up) by men and boys and lets face it, women who harbor unhealthy stigma's about all things boob.
A concern about women's rights is a concern about human rights. They are one and the same.

The video gives me the shivers... Scary how influential we all are, everywhere, everyday to the children...

Actually we still may regardless. It's an instinctual thing built into many a man's drive. Laws of attraction and natural selection I'm afraid. You can take away all the stuff in the media and men will still be attracted to certain parts of the female anotomy. Now this is not an excuse to treat a woman as an object, that should never be the case. But as long as there is physical attraction in humans, boobs will play a factor.
This should not be a source of shame.

That's correct ilker. Spend a day at any clothing-optional or nude community and you'll see that is indeed factual. Sure, they still find them "attractive", as they do the rest of the female form (you can't undo hard-wiring), but they don't "sexualize" them. There is a difference.
And that video is certainly very powerful. It exemplifies that fact that the primary way in which a child learns is indeed by modeling adult behavior.

This picture is no longer surprising. The fact that kids do what they see very much says it all. It should be every parent's responsibility to look out for their children.
About Time... A child will only go on to become the adult they have been shown to be. Sure we might live in a world where there are things we cannot control, but I'm not sure people realize just how much we do influence by the examples we leave.
It's a situation every parent should be aware of. No matter how great the parents are, their children's behavior is a huge factor if they provide an unsafe environment.
I'm a mother of two. This video really touched me. Sometimes we don't realize it but our children are always watching us, what we say, what we do. We are their example.

It's always sad to see this kind of ad campaign come up! Trying to touch someones feeling calling it a success because some people reacted to it. Of course, the people who do find this touching are very rarely the ones who needs to be educated has fir the guy who beat is woman will probably watch this video wondering what the bitch did to deserve this beating and not come anywhere close to what this ad is trying to teach him.
