Your Name in 5 Different Scripts
I stumbled across this Spanish website where you can enter your name to get it in Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, Egyptian hieroglyphs and Tengwar (an artificial script which was invented by J. R. R. Tolkien). Simply type your name in the text box and click "Cambiar." After googling for similar websites I found that all others either had a watermark in it or the URL for the website which made the final image ugly. The only question I'm thinking about is: are they accurate?ILKER in:

ya this is nice, esp that japanese one looks cool. also good that it gives correct results.
they should be using that kind of voice recognition system, where a computer reads a language(english), and another one recognizes it to be able to get correct spelling.
great post ilker
i always wanted to leave a note to my boss...now is the time, i dont think he is Tengwar
Those are really nice. Especially the Japanese writing. But are they accurate? :P
I personally think イルカー (irukaa) would be a closer pronunciation of "Ilker" using Japanese syllabary. (I spent a year in Japan.)
Garrett's right but still... irukeru is close enough.
though my ma tong is tamil, i know a little bit of hindi and i think the hindi version of your name is correct!
Cool! thanks for sharing!
I am from Lebanon, an Arab country, and I can assure to you that your name in Arabic is correct! ;)
thanks for this find!
Our name means a lot to us. It is representative of who we are. So to see it displayed in languages that are a little like pictographs is interesting. Thanks for passing this on Ilker.
Because the pronunciation “of ilker " is not recognized, it is difficult to convert to Japanese.
As an example ..... "イルカー" "イルケル" "イルケール" "イルカル" .....
pretty sweet, doing the japanese letters
The Hindi output is spot on.
Nopes..My Hindi presentation was not correct.
That might be an issue with the pronunciation though. My name TEJAS is recognized as TEHAAS by many..and so the Hindi translation on a Spanish site is bound to be erroneous. ;)
well, I wouldn't know if it's accurate with arab, hindi and others... the only one I can tell is the one for tengwar... it works using the mode for spanish, and is pretty much accurate in spanish... but there are some differences with the mode for english, so if you want to write something in english, it might not be accurate
Interesting story as for me. It would be great to read something more about that matter. Thanks for sharing this material.
