Lessons From the Animal Kingdom
She is the ultimate predator - a sleek and stealthy killer. Pouncing on her prey, she silences the baboon with one swipe of a vicious paw. Then, suddenly, something stirs in the dead animal's fur, and the law of the jungle is rewritten. From the bedraggled pelt of her kill crawls a tiny infant - a one-day-old baboon. In that moment, this young leopard forgets she is a hunter, and nurtures the baby baboon as if it were her own cub. It's not a stretch to see that animals are often more "humane" than us humans.

Lovely
wow. I m so surprised to see this video. Even a beast have mercy towards other creatures.
Pretty impressive.
Wonderful moment, thanks for posting it.
I think there's not enough meat on that little cutie. Wait till it grows up!
There's this quality, this unfathomable amalgam of emotions, that for whatever reason establishes a truly ancient link between all mammals.
It's something I've been puzzling over for a long time, and I think I'm getting closer to a solution.
Altruism is to what we call humanity what spirituality is to those who follow one faith or another.
The only thing separating the two is that one is verifiably real and the other is merely an ideal, not often put to good use...
a heart touching post

Conrad Lawrence ('About Animal Aggression') wrote about a special programed instinct that works in most animals when new borns of any species are present.
That inner program dissables any agressive tendency and promotes a proctecting care. He also wrote about what triggered that common animal instinct. Such as a coded baby smell and other visual signs.
We shouldn't use human reasons to justify some natural animal instincts. We, humans, are used to dissobey our instincts. Besides, we are the most dangerous of all the animal species.
