Project 2000 Bloggers
Unless you have been living under a rock past few weeks, or if you are still not actively networking in MyBlogLog, then this Internet meme might be news to you. It is one of those "how come I didn't think about that idea first" type of thing and reminds me of Alex Tew's Million Dollar pixels. However, this time it is not about making money. Its more like, Blogosphere Love! This project, created by Tino Buntic, is basically a blogroll with photos of 2000 Bloggers. So each photo is linked to the author's blog and the list is reproduced all over the Internet. The collection includes all kinds of bloggers from celebrities (can you recognize Donald Trump?) to the girl living next door. Currently, there are about thousand something blogs but this thing is contagious and its spreading in the blog community like a virus! If you are a blogger, I would recommend you to join in by leaving a comment there.
Finally, I would like to recognize that Tino is putting in a lot of effort to this without getting paid. So, I thought I might give a little help by contributing to his creative project with these things:
1. Signed up 'The Thinking Blog'.. Obviously![Special thanks to Tino Buntic for including me in the project.]
2. Designed a standard sized button (120x60) for those who took part and support the '2000 Bloggers' idea (inspired by Serendipity Mine. Unfortunately, that design didn't fit in my blog). Clicking the button should take you directly to the 2000 Bloggers page. I will be displaying it here on the side bar under the 'About this Blog' section. Moreover, I have uploaded it to both Imageshack and Photobucket in case anyone would like to use it. Enjoy!![]()
3. Created a baby project: 'Pixel 2000 Bloggers'! Actually, no, I haven't started anything (so don't email me your blogs). All I did was to shrink the photos a little bit to include all the 2000 bloggers here in a neat way (I will update this post once the project is complete). Visit the actual site to see the full-sized photos where you can look for someone you might recognize or browse each and every one blogger. Otherwise, happy pixel hunting!

Good work, mi amigo. Good work.
Hey, thanks for adding me or admiring me or whatever you call it on MyBlogLog lol. I'm still rather new there so not sure how it all works.
I actually starting poking around your blog and there's some neat stuff on here (2000 Bloggers being one, and that FutureMe thing down there sounds like something completely cool lol).
Would you mind trading links on sites? I'd like to link potential readers here. I think one of my first fans would get a kick out of that FutureMe site.
When I started this blog, I decided not to include a blogroll. This is partly due to the variety of content I post about in here and well, also because I read too many blogs! Thus, hundreds of links to different sites will not be useful for anyone (in terms of finding relevant interests and content).
What I sometimes do instead is to write a post about the contents of other blogs/sites that make me think (like this here). I add some of my own thoughts as well. Hence, combined with your feedback via comments, we get the 'thinking' blog. I am in pursuit of neither fame nor fortune. However, blogging is my entertainment and I will be striving to focus on providing quality content for our collective enjoyment! :)
So, if you have posted something I should be pondering on (to give you an idea of what really bugs my mind, see my older posts), feel free to drop me an email about it. This way you could contact me much faster. I usually use MyBlogLog to find new blogs and discuss things other than what I mention in these posts.
I hope this was clear. Thank you for reading my posts and commenting on them (Thanks Paula and SMD! Keep 'em coming).
And finally.. Keep Thinking! ;)
Thanks for dropping by my blog. How nice that you took time to visit some of the members of 2000 bloggers.
Have a nice week ahead.
Rach
why not, I think I'm gonna try :-)
"Subscribed !"
Update: There are approximately 980 spots still available. Hurry and submit your blog!
Nifty shrinkage. Are the photos resized, or is HTML confining them to a smaller area?
That mini 2000 Bloggers collage is the coolest thing I've seen so far!
Very neat what you have done with the 2000 bloggers project! Thanks for posting that and including Flooring The Consumer.
yes, nice work on the pixels...
Hey! It's all about space. Sure we can see our own faces but with your new baby projct we can have them all in one single block. Isn't that kool?
Thanks to let us know about it!
Thank you for all of your kind words! I am flattered. Your comments keep me smiling! :)
@saskboy: When the project is complete with all of its 2000 Bloggers, I will post the code of this pixel collage thing for you to easily display it on your blogs, along with a code of the button that links to the original project page.
Until then, have fun exploring new blogs by randomly clicking the pixels.. I for one discovered lots of interesting reads today!
Brilliant! Love the collage and the buttons! Can we get one in pink - gotta keep the color scheme right on the blog LOL.
Tino we love ya!
I love the collage. My blogs name is Serendipity Mine, Not Chris' Cornfield :-D
LOL! I knew this was coming.
The color of the button can be easily changed with GimpShop's Hue Adjustment. I have kept it red with respect to the original button designed by Chris.
@Tisha: I made a bright pink button specially for you! ;) This is the closest color that best fits your blog.
@Chris: I was referring to your name there but I changed the link according to your blog's name. ;)
Lovely worksmanship ilker! I am so grateful that you took the time and energy to make me a special pink button. It looks fantabulous and I will display it with pride. Thanks again for your help!
Tisha
This is AWESOME!! I love the pixelation--what a brilliant idea. And if it's not too much trouble I'd really really like a 2000 blog button in an ocean color. Pretty please?
WOW, it really WAS random clicking on your collage and ending up at my blog! That collage is AWESOME - what a great tribute to the amazing project that 2,000 blogggers is! And I love your button - hope you don't mind, I'm gonna fool around with the colour and size so I can use it on my blog :-D
Thanks ;-) I didn't mind you using my name! It was the cornfield thing. Made me feel like I was blogging about farming, LOL. I am putting a link to your blog so that others can use your button if they choose. I really LOVE the graphic at the beginning of the blog with the faces in the back and button in front. That is the style of button I originally wanted to do, but didn't have the time :-( I highly recommend you write up the html for that button and post it! I would use that one over mine! Have a great week!
Good job :)
Tino has really outdone himself, and made himself more famous in our blogosphere than he probably could've imagined!!
Congrats to that for Tino, and thanx for helping him ;)
Ciao ;)
Thanks for the lovely buttons.
I join the others and thank you, it's a great idea and I will put the button on my blog immediately !
Thanks so much for the cool 2000 Bloggers buttons!
Hi Ilker,
I like the ideas and the shares. I look forward to sharing the photos of all when the 2000 number is reached. Your blog seems to be pretty heavy with content and links, it blew up my browser a couple times but clearly you've got a lot on your mind and I think it's great! Keep it up. ;o)
Hugs,

Thank you, each and every one of you. There is also another way to show your gratitude ;) I really appreciate it! Your support keeps me blogging quality content..
Thanks for visiting Little Woolgatherings! Maybe you didn't mean anything by the "clicked your pixel" comment, but I got a hardy LOL out of it anyway. Maybe my mind is just in the gutter today! Anywho . . .
I'm used to being easily overlooked (sigh). I'll try not to take it too personally ;-)
Love the banner that you made with the "2000 pixels". It's always so much fun to see ideas like this take off on the internet.
Thank you for introdution thats great project. That is very interesting idea.
Success!

Hey, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on mybloglog - it's always good to meet new friends! I'd like to link to you and hope you'll do the same :) Great looking banner and awesome buttons!
This is too cool! I couldn't find myself but I'm still looking *chuckle* It may take awhile and I may need to get stronger glasses lol! Great idea :)
I thought that I would just drop in from 2000 bloggers and thank you for the buttons that you made.
Hi!
I'm one of the few Asians on 2000bloggers and I think it is awesome!
I would like to thank you for the buttons and I think the mini 2000bloggers collage is so cuteeee!
I'm grateful to Tino Buntic for including me in his 2000bloggers.
Hello there, I have opted out of the 2000 blogger list and now I get the joy of contacting all those who have added the code and requesting that my photo and link to my website be removed. Could you please see that my picture and link are removed and could you please email me when it has been removed? Thank you!
Rose DesRochers

@Rose: I’m happy to remove your photo from the 2000 list ASAP, but I’m surprised you opted to leave the request as a comment linked to your website. Seems counterproductive to your link removal quest.
I'm sure she'd like that removed too, but each blogger who posted the code must do that individually. Tino removed her photo from the host, but he can't change the copied code in each and every blog.
What do you think? Post your thoughts..
