How To Read 50 Million Blogs
Well, this is how I do it: Since I prefer to visit the sites and enjoy the content inside beautiful template designs made after long hours of effort, I bookmark them (there are about 300 something at the moment) in folders of the time interval for which they are updated and use this service [HassleMe] which sends me an email that reminds me to check them at those time periods.
Simple and effective!

Hello,
I use a similar system to yours to read my many blogs every day. I bookmark them into firefox folders which are set up by my interest types - science, technology, blogging, flowers, writing, etc. I then open the folder in tabs, opening all of the blogs at once. I can then go down the list of all related blogs, reading the new posts and seeing what else might be on the site of interest.
This way, when I see the full site, I can support the advertisers on the site when I see something that interests me. I like doing that. It had occurred to me that instead of going to the google homepage to do my searches or into the box at the upper right hand corner of my screen, I can search from the site that has caused my interest in the first place.
Best wishes,
Jean
Thanks a lot Jean.. you just revealed what I had under those 'time' folders! ;) Its great to hear from you. Anyone else who uses a different method?
This is a good idea!
Ilker -- love your blog -- one of our objectives for BuzzTracker.com is to allow people to quickly find the most relevant blog posts from over 90,000 as decided by the blogosphere -- so instead of you going to thousands of sites you go to a topic page that you are interested in and see what we come up with --
I know you've checked out our site -- really really interested in hearing your feedback!

I'm still looking for my perfect blog and news reading method/application. I tried the folder thing, but I read several things that update sporadically.
I have no idea what I actually want, but I'll know it when I find it. It's my current Holy Grail.
Alan, you can give Google Reader a try. Its the only RSS reader I found useful so far to read blogs that are updated randomly.
Usually, I find it is best to get email updates for sites like those (if it is available).
Why isn't Gregarius even mentioned ?
http://gregarius.net/
This is the best open source aggregator, perfect for following tons of blogs and managing the feeds !
Jean-Marc,
Do you know how gregarius compares to google reader? I'm looking for a reader that will allow me to delete posts after I've read them.
thanks!
@Agentsully: If you like using Google Reader then it is really easy to do what you want. Here is a screenshot to help you out.
Opulently I acquiesce in but I think the collection should prepare more info then it has.
What do you think? Post your thoughts..
